The box worked. He was taken to hell by the cenobites.

I was talking with one of my friends and they said it's impossible to make a lament configuration box that moves by iteslf. So I don't really believe that he could make it move like in the movies.

It's not impossible. Toymaker Studios produced one which did the star movement all by itself, using servos. But it cost over $1000. I saw the video of it working by itself.

What is impossible is ONE box which does more than one movement, by itself or not, because bits and pieces of the box overlap themselves in the diferent movements. What he did in this thread is a box which he can construct in more than one way, but which looks, frankly, bad, due to all the cut bits and magnets and rods stuck in there.

I'd say considering it's home made, it looks great. I sure as Hell couldn't do it.

I'd be interested in seeing the Box in its component parts before being assembled. smile.gif

well I just recieved 6 brass ecthed panel schematics from www.puzzlecube.co.uk today for my multi moving mahagony box. Im also working on putting a recordable sound module thats small enough to fit in one the pieces so it can make the musicial toy sound you hear in hellraiser 1&2 hope in works. I can agree that it would be impossible to have a box that does the to moves roboticly like in the moviesyou need a giant sized box that has locks gears etc to do somthing compilcated like that but what is possible is that you can do more than one move with just a buch of little magnets.so If all goes well I could have the most realistic looking box on EARTH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!who knows maybe in a couple of decades down the road there just maybe just maybe a way to simulation all the cenobites chains labyrinth heck even the films so its like your in an alternate reality how it might work is a tiny computer chip in the box just like the sound module I mentioned well send signals to nano particles to your mind to give the scary dangerous immersive expensive like in the MATRIX now im not saying anyone would do somthing redicules like that but its an exciting WHAT IF fantasy I me come on we fans might be tepted to have a box thats as dangerous people owning posisonous snakes as pets

That's breathtaking! You've doen the seemingly impossible here. Sure, bits fall off and it's not smooth but it's doen with magnets, what would you expect amnd besides... it's a BOX THAT DOES BOTH MOVEMENTS. And it CAN be done fairly smoothly by hand. Dude, are you some genius of geometry or just really good at 3D puzzles? That's amazing.
