Cut From the Same Cloth
Written by Mark Adams
Art by Daniel Holland
Cover by Daniel Holland

"Cut From the Same Cloth" was written and drawn around half a decade ago in a first attempt to start an ongoing comic series for Hellraiser fans. We present it hear as one of the first steps towards the Hellbound Chroniles we have today.

- Scarecrow

--------------------

"Liberate tutemet ex inferis"

"We've so many things to show you, Alma. So many wonderous sights for you to see. I almost envy you. Hell has so many wonders for its newcomers..." - Pinhead

"To be able to fly? To be smoke, or a wolf... to know the night, and live in it forever? That's not so bad. You call us monsters. But when you dream it's of flying, and changing, and living without death."

"That's about when I lost faith in Jesus... when I realized the only bits that worked for me were the p*rn"

I really like the comic... simple but fun, and I like the artist's bright-colored style. It's short and sweet and I think that actually works in its favor, allowing it to be visually powerful.

However, someone needs to get a hold of the original image files and compress them better, they look awfully blotchy. (If you have them, I could do it.)

We'd talked about this- neither Mark nor I have them... the only other person would be Dan... not sure if he'd checked for them yet? I have no contact info for him.

Nice and easily to read comic. Too bad about the copyright stuff on each page on the left. But since it's an oldy it can't be reversed back. Probably add an extra page of it with Credits or so.

This story and the accompanying artwork have a really great sense of atmosphere to them. It reminded me a lot of Deader (this is a compliment coming from me, as Deader is one of the best of the sequels IMHO.)

By far the more detailed issue, the backgrounds are beautiful, I love the style and the story, this was the one that started the project, right?

Just awesome big grin.gif

Great artwork and story, in true Hellraiser spirit! "I had seen the face of God in those moments, and now it was gone." Great play on the pain/pleasure theme.

Hey it was cool to see the Hellraiser Chronicles...good stuff going on. I did find high-res versions of the first and second issues on an old CD. I'll shoot them over to Mark...It's been a long time since I've been here...a lot has changed.

Hey maulsmasher, great to see you! Hope the families well. Thanks for the high-res versions, I'll look out for them. The old hosts of the site decied to shut themsleves down with no warning so there was alot of trouble over that. Seem to see a lot of old face passing by for a few days and then vanishign a while again, have tyo try and gte everyone at once for a rela reunion. tongue.gif

And thanks again maul because without you this project never would have existed.
