From the Darkest Hole Written by Brian Dell Art by Matt Cerovich Cover by Daniel Holland The second, and final, issue produced on our first attempt at a Hellraiser comic. Writte by one of the editors of the Hellbound Chronicles, it's an excellent story in my opinion, with some wonderful atmospheric art. These two issues were an important learnign experience in setting up the Hellbound Chronicles. - Scarecrow -------------------- "Liberate tutemet ex inferis"
"We've so many things to show you, Alma. So many wonderous sights for you to see. I almost envy you. Hell has so many wonders for its newcomers..." - Pinhead "To be able to fly? To be smoke, or a wolf... to know the night, and live in it forever? That's not so bad. You call us monsters. But when you dream it's of flying, and changing, and living without death." "That's about when I lost faith in Jesus... when I realized the only bits that worked for me were the p*rn" |

I marked it "good" =) The art is excellent imho, but even though I understand the decision in hindsight, I really had a tough time keeping it @ six pages and hence have problems with my own script, heh. Very positive experience overall tho.

I think this is awesome (and goes back to one of Clive's ideas about incorporating ancient Egypt into the HR mythology, if I'm not mistaken.) And can I just mention again that it seems we have some of the best artists around, of any fandom?

This comic seems to have some influences of Indiana Jones, even the lettertype used looks a bit familiar, but it's a good comic. Only same story with the copyright stuff on the left side of the pages, it's just annoying

I think the cover sets that mood right away- not necessarily my intent with the story, but I can't say it's inappropriate either... anything set in jungle ruins will forever conjure up comparisons to Dr. Jones, I think =)

Why this one isn't available to watch online?
I downloaded the pdf but the image quality is very low (not the quality of the drawing or the story), I had to see it at 75% size to see it clear (at 100 it got blury). He became a cenobite by revenge? Good, it was usually the flesh desires/pleausres that made the others open the box, I liked this. |

Hmmm... I'm not sure if we were able to dig up the original pages, perhaps... I think more than anything it was difficult to rework this older comic into web format w/o all the source materials handy. But it's a good point... plus there was a different version of the pdf i'd have preferred to see used.
I'm glad you liked the concept, thanks for your feedback. BTW, redwolf, do you recall the source of your egypt info? Would be interested to read it. Doc Why this one isn't available to watch online?

I think it's meant to be set in Mesoamerica, but I agree the link to an ancient civilization works well. |

I'm not much for B&W comics, but the puzzle-twist in this one is great. Also the Cenobites are very nice drawn. And a bit of Indy is always cool

Thanks for the feedback guys! Tennant will be making a triumphant return soon-ish... that's his human name... anybody got good ideas for a cenobite name, or just a goofy butterball/pinhead-esque nickname?
