GENERAL

Q: What are The Hellbound Chronicles (HBC) all about?

A: HBC is an independent, non-profit comic project. The writing is based on the fiction established by the movies Hellraiser 1 & 2, and occasionally references the other HR films, The Hellbound Heart, prior EPIC comics, etc., while at the same time establishing original characters and themes within the series.
Illustration styles are intended to match the brooding artistic themes common to the stories, with stylistic exceptions as needed.

Q: I love Hellraiser! How can I get involved?

A: Please submit sketches or plot summaries for stories to thehellboundweb at yahoo dot co dot uk
We will consider how your work best can be used in upcoming issues of the series. Please understand not all submissions can be accepted (mostly for thematic reasons.) However we do appreciate and consider all submissions.

Q: Where are the comics available?

Q: Will you be printing/selling issues?

A: Due to cost/time/copyright reasons, this is not something we are interested in. We are simply aiming to enrich the Hellraiser mythology, and feel the internet is the best distribution method available.

WRITER INFO

Q: How long should my outline be? How long for the final comic?

A: Outlines are generally between a half page and a full page. Final comics, except with permission from the editors, should be short to medium in length, roughly between 6-20 pages.

ARTIST INFO

Q: What size should the final pages be?

A: All finished pages should be 6.625x10.25” with a minimum resolution of 300dpi. (Note: some of our earlier comics do not conform to this standard.) When saving jpegs, also make sure to use the highest "Image Quality" setting.

Q: How should I submit a finished comic?

A: All files should be numbered in page order (namehere P01.jpg, namehere P02.jpg, etc. for example.)
We would like to have both the lettered and non-lettered (image only) versions of the pages for promotional reasons. Select all the files and zip them, then send them to thehellboundweb at yahoo dot co dot uk using yousendit.com, megaupload or an alternate method. We will then give it a proof reading and publish it in .pdf format.
