Rate and discuss the second issue of the Hellbound Chronicles.

We'd love for you to leave feedback and not just a vote, let us know what you want to see, where you want the series to go, where you think the art and writing can improve.

For my own mind, it's not the best story, but it was an early script and issue, and Is et out to tell a small, traditional, and visually pleasing Hellraiser story that could help set the tone for the kind sof things we can and will do, before we branch out into more original ideas and concepts.

I like it a lot. Very pleased with the cover on this one. Art style compliments the concise & graphic script. Effective in re-introducing the HR mythos to those who may have been away from it, imho.
But I could be biased cool.gif
I agree, it would be nice to discuss specifically what the readers want to see... suggestions?

I like the cover too, for all its misadventures. Simple, but very atmospheric.

Honestly, I'd say that likely applies to the whole comic well. The comic isn't all that complex, which is a flaw, but it's a nice little short story nonetheless.

constructive criticism

well, it was VERY Hellraiser inspired, i know that is stating the obvious. LOL
I mean, nearly every line and visual image is a reference to Hellraiser 1 and Hellbound Heart, which is good 'cos that's what the fancomics are all about

artwise, the images of the cenobite were good. The Pigeon heads on the first page weren't too crisp, but upon reading the dialog it became obvious that they were bird heads (like in HBH!) so that didn't matter.

not bad at all. once a full collection of fancomics has been established, are there any plans to get them published? even if only privately and sold through HBW for expenses only?

No plans right now, and it's not impossible per se, but unless we were to get explicit permission I don't think that will be in the cards. It might be possible to provide hi-res jpgs if people wanted to make their own prints or something down the road though.

I'd think a collection, even fanmade, would be fantastic. Also, I just have to say the series is coming along beautifully. I agree with basically everything that's been said on this particular issue. It paints a good backdrop of a traditional Hellraiser story, a sort of canvas for later issues to elaborate on and reconfigure, in a sense. But everything I've seen so far has been pretty much jaw-dropping.

I can't wait to see how my issue develops.

It is also possible to produce something as a "fanzine", but as you say, it's nothing happening directly now.

@Natman

That's very much our intent, the fans are afterall the first audience for a project like this although it will need to appeal to a wider audience as well. But we want to start with some strong, familiar but enjoyable arts and ideas. We welcome your thoughts, and the imput of the readers will certainly have an effect as we try to expand and grow.

How about the next style of art would be as the classical Hellraiser comicbooks?

Also, Scarecrow, I should mention that when my issue comes around I'd like to be credited as Nathaniel Brehmer, not Natman. Think Natman might lose a sense of credibility.... wink.gif

I am truly sorry for the late reply on this, but I loved it. VERY good work all around. And very true to the "Hellraiser" feel. This takes it back to the basics.

Very hellbound heart, the doves, all the ritual, very good, I think it goes with the original Barker story decently.

I liked a lot the cenobite (rare to see an one alone).

Another excellent Pinup!
