This page has all the changes from different releases of the TMNT Engine, view this page to find out whats been added and fixed.
Version 1.0 - February 5th 2009
- Scoreboard is now working again, both in game and on the website.
- Bonus level 2 is now playable (instead of taking you to bonus level 1)
- Level 6 removed as this was never meant to be playable in its unfinished state.
Version 0.9 - February 1st 2008
- Level 5 part 1 added
- Level 5 part 2 added
- Title screen updated with connection system and new buttons
- Online Hi-Score feature and board have been added
- Top Player HUD has been added to every frame
- Player 1 HUD has now been moved infront of all objects (apart from scanlines).
- Roadkill Rodney's now shoots lazers
- Leonardo's back attack is now followed up with his uppercut animation
- Added Baxters dropping Mouser animation
- Fixed the bowling balls on level 1 so they now work again
- Patch of flames on level 1 is now animated (at last)
- Leonardos special attack has now been added (press attack and jump at the same time)
- Enemies with projectile attacks are now used more frequently
- Leonardos shadow when being knocked over and rolled has been fixed
- Bebops bullets now damage you
- Manhole covers now damage you
- Sewer missiles now damage you and can now be destroyed
- Foot soldier thrown spears now damage you
- Exploding barrels now damage you
- Speeding car on level 4 now damages you
- Pressing F2 on the title screen no longer allows the music to continue
- Pressing [Esc] while playing a level will end the game and take you to the scoreboard to enter your name
- Baxter flys off after dropping x amount of Mousers
- Level select screen levels can now be selected by pressing Ctrl / Fire button 2 and not Enter
- Lives now added (you get 9 from the level you select to play)
- Health no longer sets to full after every frame
- Health restores every level title screen
- Added a blocker at the bottom of the diagnol scrolling part of level 2
Version 0.8 - January 13th 2008
- Level 4 is now playable.
- Bonus level 2 is now playable
- The Dojo is now playable
- TMNT Engine now has hardware acceleration and should now run faster.
- The scrolling bug has been fixed which was caused by two enemies dying at the same time.
- Orange and white foot soldier projectiles are thrown more frequently
- Option to toggle scanlines has been added to title screen
- Removed a bug where a purple foot soldier circling the player would create an orange foot soldier
- Added orange foot soldier with machine gun to level 1 part 2
- Pressing "Tab" no longer displays invisable detectors
- The bug key "*" has been changed to "1" to make it easier for laptop users
- Level select screen has been re-designed
- Added still picture of shredder jumping out of window after level 1
- Added cutscene after sewer level
- Added April kissing Leonardo cutscene after level 4
- Some transitions have changed from frame to frame
- Fixed the elevators on level 1 so that they appear behind the player
- Fixed a problem where the sewer music would change to level 1 music once it had finished
- Fixed a bug where hitting Baxter would not display his damaged animation
Version 0.7 - January 1st 2008
- Level 2 now Playable.
- Level 3 now Playable.
- Bonus level now Playable.
- Level 1's fire and smoke semi-transparency has been removed.
- April has been moved slighty to the right of her position.
- Frame-Rate has increased.
- Scroll Speed has increased.
- [*] now works as a bug key, press if all enemies are dead and the screen fails to scroll.
- Title screen has been updated.
- Sound effects now added for jumping attacks.
- Added Leonardo's kicking animation.
- Foot Soldiers no longer remain outside of the screen for too long.
- Stage select screen added.
Version 0.6 - December 8th 2007
- Joystick/Joypad is now supported, change it via the Config button on the title screen.
- Added the attract mode intro.
- Added Roadkill Rodney (the robot at the end of level 1 part1).
- Purple footsoldiers now enter level 1 part 1 backflipping onto the screen
- Re-alligned some of the doors in which enemies break out of.
- Problems with the screen not scrolling has been fixed alittle (the problem is due to two enemies dying at the same time and only 1 registering as dead).
- The screen now scrolls after the explosion of a footsoldier rather than as he hits the floor.
- Enemies are now alittle more forced onto the screen so they don't remain idle outside the playfield.
- When a purple foot soldier is shook off after grabbing you he now isn't flung across the screen.
- Orange and white foot soldiers are now effected by the falling bowling balls.
- The automatic throwing attack has been removed to be re-adjusted.
- Rocksteadys health has been reduced slighty.
Version 0.5 - August 21st 2006
- Scene 1 title screen added.
- Level 1 Part 2 added.
- Added falling flaming rubble to Level 1 Part 1.
- Added static flame patch to level 1 part 1. (no animation).
- Fixed jumping straight up so that while facing right or left it doesnt cause the turtle to slide 2-4 pixels.
- Black ball no longer appears over back wall.
- Added Basic title screen.
- Added Fullscreen support.
- Added splash screen.
- Fixed some problems with shadows moving in wrong directions.
- Menu header removed.
Version 0.4 - July 22nd 2006
- Shadow now follows when Leonardo is knocked down by Metal Ball.
- When knocking a Foot Soldier down Leonardo now displays an attack animation.
- Metal ball hit detection improved.
- Scrolling fixed so it doesnt Jerk or scroll backwards.
- Purple Dynamite Throwing Foot added.
- Foot Soldiers don't hang around outside the screen as much.
- Jumping ,Aero attacks and getting knocked over now remain within the playarea.
- Metal ball now starts earlier.
- Cliping with Elevators improved.
- Leonardo now has 2 getting hit animations.
- Leonardo now plays a different animation when getting hit from behind.
- Foot Soldier Kicks have been improved.
- Leonardo now if hit from behind rolls forward.
- Purple Foot Soldiers can now be hit at a wall. (right way up).
- Added larger explosion from Dynamite stick.
- Leonardo takes damage from Dynamite blast.
Version 0.3 - July 18th 2006
- Engine now has near completed level one design and has a more "Game" feel rather than Engine.
- Red Foot Soldiers with A.I.
- White Knive Throwing Foot Soldiers with A.I.
- Red Foot Soldiers circle Leonardo 180 degrees.
- Foot Soldiers have shadows when walking.
- The screen now Scrolls.
- Removed keys that dispatch Foot Soldiers onto the screen.
- Purple Foot Soldiers now have their idle dance type animation.
- Improved clip detection.
- Purple Foot Soldiers now have their other 2 punches and kick attacks.
- Leonardo can now get knocked down by flying kicks.
- Purple Foot Soldiers now break through doors.
- Purple Foot Soldiers now enter via elevators.
- Metal balls now fall down the stairways.

- Leonardo can now Jump.
